The law written violence is perceived by the local council. It has 80 seats and is elected every 4 years by the population of Geneva. The office of mayoral, rotates annually in rotation among the governmental members. Appointed year 2013/14 for the first time there were two women, Sandrine Salerno and Esther Alder, at the top of the city government.
